About

I was born in Cambridge, UK in the summer of 1977 where I lived until the age 20 before leaving to buy my first home. Never having moved too far from the rural and beautiful area, I now reside just to the north of Cambridge in Impington.

With qualifications in Business Studies, Marketing and IT, my first career step was in a marketing position within a design agency, before settling in the IT department and helping to setup the ‘New Media’ department in the late 90’s, which is when I started freelancing asa graphic designer/developer.

Now a fully fledged graphic designer with over ten years corporate experience, and creatively inspired by everything and anything and with a clean unfussy contemporary style, I very much enjoy the challenges of delivering engaging and effective creative online and in print.

The purpose of this site is to give me a space to write about things that interest me, at the same time showcasing some of my professional and freelance work, and also giving a place to show off some of my photography, which is something I’m currently excited about learning.

After being full time employed for 1.5 decades, I decided to break away and start freelancing which led to the creation of the Ideas by Eden Design Agency in 2007, which continues to deliver design and marketing solutions to businesses and organisations in the Cambridge UK area.
