I helped local electrician Dean Marks to improve the natural position of his site from page three in Google for the search term ‘Cambridge electrician’ to position number 7 (April 2016) with a modest content refresh and some basic structural changes.
A basic new website for M&M delivered in November 2016 achieved position 4 for ‘Histon plumber’ and is slowly improving its organic position for ‘Cambridge plumbing’, ‘Cambridge boiler repair’ and ‘Cambridge central heating’.
As part of a larger website redevelopment project, we trained the marketing, membership and events teams at this local charity to be self sufficient with their on-site SEO by learning to craft search optimised content. We achieve some great search results from just doing the simple things well including image naming conventions, meta data, keyword usage and density, internal linking and blogging.
The new website delivered for local startup Prime Finish made a big impact on their business, by quickly gaining a top three position for seven out of 12 target keywords and phrases, and retaining these natural positions three years later with a simple and effective content strategy. The first step was a thorough audit of their website which highlighted many little enhancements and tweaks which have helped to improve their organic position in search.

SEO planning, strategy & implementation: For Sanko we completed a thorough SEO content audit which formed the foundation for delivering a content strategy. We are in the process of rolling this out to ensure they remain top of serps for their denim-related target keywords and phrases.
I reviewed the search performance of key landing pages as part of a more general audit of Huntsman’s website, looking deeply into the competitive landscape and specifically SEO, keywords, technology and user experience.
SEO content strategy: Xaar required an SEO content audit and we chose to deliver the results in a training session which armed their team with the necessary resources and knowledge to more effectively manage their own onsite SEO. The SEO training focused on basic techniques including keyword identification and planning, meta data and keyword density strategy.
The objective for FTA was to move their already highly search optimised static HTML website into a CMS without negatively impacting search performance – something they had been advised was impossible. We were successful in completing the move by retaining their site structure, content and meta data; and carefully managing URL redirects in Webmaster Tools and within the website. We quickly achieved improved SEO performance which, we continue to build on today with more advanced techniques including using Googles Page Speed Service, registering their own IP to a specific London address and harnessing the power of Rich Snippets.
